Great Authors Webinar Give-Away!!!!! & Other Great Deals!

Homeschooling families know that one of the keys to investing in their children is sound literature from the foremost minds who base their thinking on the Word of God. Borrowing from the state schools means sowing seeds of humanism and eventual ruin.

Excellent curriculum is crucial to them because they also understand they're building more than little data banks full of godly factoids. No, to them a vision for family and future means teaching their children to engage in the battles of their day; applying themselves wisely, faithfully and diligently to winning that battle for the the Kingship of Christ. They are raising up warriors. They want to be confident they're children will be steadfast and in the end be the victors standing.

Nothing compares to the galvanizing effect of meeting and interacting with men who have walked a battlefield; who have engaged the antithetical worldviews that are at war with us. Their experience and wisdom offers the next generation the schematics of the foundation they've laid, insight into the enemies tactics and the ability to excel at field expedience.

As my father is the pastor of a local body, I have limitless opportunities to engage myself in this battle by helping him in his daily ministry to traveling with him as he teaches all over Asia.

Howdy! My name's Paul Leavitt,
One of my favorite debates is probably on Creation, but I also like to talk about, fashion, what's wrong with it, and what it should be.
I don't have a blog, but I do have a face book. Here's a link I hope you can see it.

Oops, I forgot to mention a cultural battle. Well, I'd have to say the argument of Evolution vs. Creation is my favorite; it's so fundamental.

Favorite cultural battle: homeschooling the children of believers. We get so much opposition on this coming out of a modern evangelical background.

I believe that I am passionate about and am constantly engaged in a singular cultural war....the war being waged against the Gospel of Christ. This singular war brings me face to face with the enemy on many fronts. Their troops and thier aim are diverse but all of them are completely powerless against the weapons of our warfare.

I love it that the Lord Jesus Christ has commisioned me and gives me opportunity to pick off the enemy, no matter the particular uniform they may be wearing at the time of battle... underneath, they are all the same...they are unified in the attack of the His Gospel. Some are more subtle than others, but... no matter, because the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I most frequently engage with the enemy on these fronts:

-the battle being waged against Life in general...the fruit of the womb is His reward!

-the battle over the minds of our children. I am very passionate about Chist centered home-education and fulfilling the Biblical mandate of Deuteronomy 6:6-9

-the battle against Biblical Womanhood...feminism has invaded our culture and it's effects can be seen everywhere, including the battles mentioned above. It has wrecked havoc on our homes and families and on our churches as well. This particular enemy is so slick and deceptive...I love sounding the alarm and rallying the troops when I see it rear it's ugly head. We are called to be Titus 2 women :)

-the battle over the sufficiency of scripture for every area of our existence. God's Word is! Woe to those who seek purposefully to subvert it. It can not be done.

Hello, my name is Amy Perez, and my favorite cultural battle is probably a tie between the sanctity of human life vs. abortion, the importance of biblical home-education vs. the modern public education system, and true biblical femininity vs. the feminism so prevalent in our culture. Haha, sorry, I couldn't pick just one- there are so many subjects warred upon in our society! Thanks for doing this- the series sounds absolutely phenomenal!

My name is Jay Richardson and the cultural battle I enjoy engaging in is the battle to share the true, clear Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's not enough to do nice things, but we need to tell people about Jesus Christ and our need for His atoning work on the cross.

Oh, I'm so excited about this! We haven't been able to make it to a conference since we got married, but we hope to some day! Meanwhile, this is wonderful: we get to attend a conference without leaving the state! Though, my favorite part of a conference is the fellowship and conversation, which I'll miss very much with this webinar! Even so, what a wonderful opportunity to learn from great men!

The main battle that Tait and I are fighting is the battle for our children, and ultimately, for the future. We want to see Christian parents pulling their children out of the humanistic, statist public indoctrination centers to homeschool. But we don't want parents to just teach their children the Three R's at home; we want to see them following a walk-along, talk-along discipleship model. We want to see fathers working with their sons, preparing them to be providers and protectors. We want to see mothers teaching their daughters how to keep a home and manage a large family, and modeling an obedient and submissive spirit towards their husbands. We want to see a love of children instilled in each child. We want to see parents teaching each "subject" - and activity and even thought process! - with God's Word as the standard, realizing that there is no area of neutrality, that God's Word speaks to every area of life and living! We want to see mothers and fathers training their children to go forth and fight the battles of the day and stand firmly on truth; to disciple their own children and send them out, in their turn, to continue the multi-generational vision of their parents and grandparents. We want to see children raised up as active servants of God; we want to see leaders raised up, who will fight for the truth, spread the Gospel, and advance Christ's kingdom!

That's the battle we are fighting.

Or, at least, one of many. : )

I blogged the give-away at (it was our first post!), and I will facebook it tomorrow. (I'll tag you.)

Can't wait until the webinar!

I think the biggest battle we are fighting right now is for the education of our children. We are first generation homeschooler, and that seems to be a big battle.

I would say the second biggest one is to reclaim the biblical role of manhood and womanhood, including modest dress etc.

Thanks so much! Great giveaway

My name is Luci McLeod ~ I'm a new wife and my "favorite cultural battle" would have to be the problems of feminism. I've seen the damage feminism causes in church, at public schools, and in home life, and I'm passionate about making a strong stand for true femininity according to God's word!

The battle I feel is most important is the fact that today's church is influenced by rather than influencing the world. It greatly saddens me that due to incorrect doctrine and a lack of personal purity in our fight against sin much of the "church" doesn't look much different from the world.

Even though I am a young 33 yr old I love to teach my contemporaries the ways of housekeeping. I was fortunate enough to have a mother who was willing to teach me all the homemaking skills I will always use and grow upon. So many of my friends were not so fortunate. Teaching others lets me battle against those who believe that a stay at home mom is a chore when we really can glorify our homes and those who live in it by using those gifts that God gave us!
