More Hatchlings - Low Humidity

The little black hatchling had quite a bit of trouble because of the low humidity today. The shell membrane becomes sticky when humidity is too low, sticking to shell to the little escapee. Andrea moistened the dry exposed membrane with a dampened swab. As soon as she did, the little chicks were able to break free.

another idea: when humidity is so low they are having trouble, use a spritz bottle set to s superfine mist to moisten the membrane.

It is interesting how, no matter how often someone has watched this happen, it is still captivating to see it again.
