Matthew Henry on Trials

"The tried Christian shall be a crowned one: and the crown he shall wear will be a crown of life. It will be life and bliss to him, and will last for ever. We only bear the cross for a while, but we shall wear the crown to eternity." Matthew Henry on James chapter 1.

A Woman Set Apart

In our day and age women are quite confident, self-sustaining, in control, capable if you will. All the while unaware to what depths today's feministic ideology has affected their reasoning and their decision making. Many a young woman has suffered a self-inflicted hurt unknowingly; working against herself guided by socially inherited liberal idealism. One of the duties of highest priority for young women today is to endeavour to discover what it is to be a woman set apart. Find out what it means to be that lovely lady in whom a man delights and can not resist to provide for and protect. There is plenty to read. There are examples to follow. Perhaps the closest you can get to a Titus 2/Proverbs 31 woman is a video or CD. Buy the truth if need be.
It's your duty to discover God's truth. Apply what you learn. Don't fear the sanctifying work the Lord is doing in you or it will remain theory to you and you'll faint in the day of adversity. Don't be afraid to try. You'll mature in the process and become that lady God has called you to be.
Here is an article I enjoyed featured on Ladies Against Feminism "Looking for heroism in all the wrong places"

That's what I want...?

You're never gonna get what you think you really want,
until you get what you don't think you need.

And when you get what you don't think you need,
you'll find along the way, you got what you thought you wanted.

And then when you get what you thought you wanted,
you'll realize that when you got what you needed,
that's what you really should'a wanted.
